Friday will be our big TEST (sort of like a mid-term, but officially we cannot call it a final exam). Taking this exam is OPTIONAL. If you do take it, it will count as an alternative to taking the real Final. Or, you can wait until Finals Day.

The big test or final is curved upwards, along with a few wild card questions that you can select not to answer. If you score 90 or better before the curve (but using the wild cards), then you automatically ACE the course so long as your projects are C or better.

You can still ACE the final, with the curve, but that is not an automatic ace for the course. That ace would require good numbers on the quizzes and projects.

You may re-take the big test or the final on Finals Day Dec 15. A re-take can only raise your test score to B+. To earn an A on the test, it must be first time.

ALL projects are DUE on this coming Friday, Dec 8, the week BEFORE Finals, as per the syllabus. Only those projects that have been previously submitted for review may be re-submitted during Finals week.

You may retake quizzes either this Friday or next Friday during class time. It is your responsibility to email me or ask me during class about your standing quiz scores. Some students have not taken all of the quizzes yet!

After the final on Finals Day, we will have an optional workshop on Getting Started in the Industry, including resume writing, networking, etc. Testing will be from 8:30-10:30am, for final exam and any quizzes. The lecture will begin at 10:45am and go as long as we want it to. The lecture is open to all CTVA students, regardless of options and skills -- so feel free to invite your classmates.
