Today's topic will be a departure from the syllabus. Instead of the scheduled lecture topic, we will jump ahead to learning the Mackie 1402 mixing panel.

The reason for the change is that on Friday, there will be a large number of VIP's touring our building before the official naming ceremony for the Hollywood Foreign Press Assoc. There is a strong likelihood that they will peek in on our class, so it would be good to be doing something with hardware along with the Powerpoints.

Class will wrap up early, so that you can participate or watch.

Although there is no dress code, you might consider stepping up your game just a little in case you want to network. Nothing formal, but maybe something that says filmmaker rather than "day at the beach". Also, there will be photographers roaming the halls.
