Hiring: fulltime field producer/shooter was created by Fred Ginsburg
Dear Professor Ginsburg,
I'm reaching out to see if you have any star students who would be interested in a producer/shooter position for Fung Bros, an Asian-American media brand focused on food, Asian culture, tech, and lifestyle. We're ideally looking for someone full-time (but are open to part-time/freelance), so this may be more fit for seniors graduating soon. Here is what this position entails:
• We’re looking for someone to film a dynamic run n’ gun style on a Canon system—similar to our past travel stuff—think Huang’s World, Yes Theory, Anthony Bourdain, VagaBrothers (travel and lodging expenses paid)
• We’ll be traveling a lot, so this person should have the flexibility to be away up to a month at a time
• It’s a pretty intense job—work hard, play hard—think 50 to 60 hours a week
• You know us and what we love—basketball (we may be interfacing a lot with the NBA), streetwear, hip hop—so it would be great if someone shared interests
• Asian identity is a huge part of our brand, so it's important to be well-versed in Asian and Asian-American food, culture, dynamics, and issues
• We're from Washington, but are currently based in L.A. (and previously N.Y.), so we'd like to connect with someone who has a similar worldly perspective!
• Mandarin proficiency is huge (preferred but not required), since we’ll be traveling to China a lot
• We are open to people out of state and potentially living with us (we're in LA atm)
• Monthly salary is between $3-$5k a month, commensurate with experience and skill
We’re really serious about this hire, so we’re willing to offer a referral bonus if you help find this person.
Feel free to share this with all your students and anyone who thinks he/she would be a good fit for this role, please have him/her fill out this form. Make sure they leave your name down below as the person who referred them! Just in case, feel free to reply to this email and let us know who you’re referring.
Thank you so much!
Best,
Christina
