Welcome to our new and returning CTVA students.
Last week was our first session. This coming week we will get down to the BUSINESS (pardon the pun) of learning about Prod Sound.
Our topic is Professional Approach/Pre-production planning. Please read the articles in the Reading List:
Elements of the Soundtrack series
Introduction to Production Sound
Log sheets, sound reports, headers
Preparing for Your Shoot series
Basic Equipment Package
Most of our assigned readings take place during the first few weeks of the course, while we cover a lot of basic ground. By early mid-semester, you should be done with all of the reading assignment. BTW, these are all short articles -- not like those LONG boring chapters in other courses!
Please always read ahead and make notes about questions; so we can spend more time on practical stuff and less time covering what you could have read at home.
Also, if you check in the Presentations tab under College Classes, you will find the lecture PowerPoints.
