For week ending Feb 27, 2013 was created by Fred Ginsburg
Last Friday's lighting workshop was enlightening (pardon the pun). I was glad to see that some of you were able to attend.
Personally, nothing was new for me; however, it did jog my memory. So it just proves that it never hurts to attend as many workshops as you can, even if it is just a refresher.
Two of the Assignment 4 were turned in, and I was most impressed with the creativity and quality of what was turned in. Both groups nailed it! I will show them in class on Monday.
Overall, I think that some of you need to work on your camera skills a bit. The handheld stuff tends to be very jerky and bouncy. Which is why tripods were invented! But if you must go handheld, then learn to hold and move with more grace....
Wednesday we will begin lighting our in-class exercises.
Now that you are learning to mix audio, you should read the articles in the Reading List for the CTVA 358 sound class.
I have completed PowerPoint Presentations on the Mackie 1402, Marantz PMD660, and Zoom H4n recorders. The Mackie is up on the site; the other two will be posted in a day or so.
Make sure to reply to this post during the week so that I know you have read it. I am "taking down names" and keeping score.
