Slight change of plans for Monday. Professor Hoggan and I will be swapping classes after the first few minutes. He will present Film Editing to you, and go over what you will need to know for the Bolex project. I will visit his class and talk about/demo basic sound recording.
However, you should still be prepared with your storyboards for your Bolex projects so that they can be approved by me. Time to get those things shot, so you can concentrate on your big video productions.
Groups should work on choosing your final script treatments; and begin work on pre-production scouting & planning as you prepare your actual scripts. I would like us to talk about them as much as possible, so that you all can maximize your efforts in the right directions. This process is not about tearing you down, but helping you not to make mistakes that could hurt you down the line.
Remember, I am here to HELP you succeed; not to document your failures or shortcomings. Don't be afraid of my criticisms or suggestions; they are free, and do not incur any grading.
Make sure you review the Film Editing sections of the textbook, and review the Powerpoint presentations about editing as well.
