On Wed, Thursday, and Friday (August 10-12, 2011), Samy's Camera will be hosting a three day event in their Los Angeles area stores featuring factory representatives from major brands available to make presentations and answer questions from attendees. Dr. Fred Ginsburg CAS will be on hand, representing Audio Technica microphones for video and HDSLR production.
His presentation will include a fully rigged, professional soundcart as would be used on major productions. A variety of shotgun microphones and lavaliers will be on display and available for hands-on demo and evaluation.
In keeping with the professional theme, all of the microphones will be hooked up to a Tascam HS-P82 multi-track recorder complete with FC-82 fader controller (mixer) -- as would be utilized on a professional set. Fred will explain how a multi-track workflow is used on current productions.
On Wednesday, August 10, Fred will be at the Pasadena store at 41 East Walnut from 10am until 5pm. Thursday and Friday, August 11-12, he will be in the main store at 431 Fairfax Blvd in Los Angeles.
